P&T Dubai office is looking for BIM Technician – Electrical with 5+ years experience.

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled BIM Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the design and documentation processes through Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology.

Key Responsibilities:
·       Develop and maintain accurate 3D models and drawings using BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).
·       Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent is met.
·       Assist in creating project documentation, including construction drawings.
·       Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within the model.
·       Maintain project standards and best practices for BIM implementation.
·       Stay updated on BIM trends, tools, and technologies to enhance project efficiency.

Qualifications:
·       Degree or diploma in engineering, along with relevant experience.
·       Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit; knowledge of Navisworks is essential.
·       Solid experience with BIM, up to LOD 350.
·       3D modelling of MEP systems
·       Parametric family creation and editing (Revit families like equipment, fixtures)
·       Generating detailed drawings (plans, sections, details, schedules from BIM models)
·       Strong understanding of building systems and construction methods.
·       Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
·       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
·       Proficient knowledge of building services, including the development and detailing of electrical plant spaces such as substations, LV rooms, generator rooms, and electrical rooms; as well as Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), lighting and power layouts, fire alarm layouts, ELV systems, and containment layouts.
·       Familiarity with local authority regulations e.g. DEWA, ADDC, EWA, UAE Fire Code
·       A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Revit assessment will be required in the technical interview (1.5 to 2 hours)
